Abstract

Recently synthesized tetrabenzoporphyrins and tetranaphthoporphyrins with extended -systems and bearing 4-bromophenyl substituents were subjected to palladium-catalyzed amination by primary and secondary amines. The yields of the tetraamino derivatives were markedly dependent on the nature of amine reactant.
