The role of micro wind generation in ireland's energy future

    Abstract

    This paper defines the current position for microgeneration, with particular reference to the potential for microwind units, in the Irish electricity supply system. A network model is developed using the Distflow method of load flow analysis and is applied to consider the appropriate level of micro-generation penetration.
