Abstract

Reflection is considered an integral part of the learning process in experiential learning and is highly relevant in embedded entrepreneurship education. However, there is a paucity in literature considering how peer mentoring can support student reflection in an interdisciplinary context. This chapter looks at how peer mentoring can support student reflection in interdisciplinary teams and how this can help students to become change agents through developing entrepreneurial competences. It does this by shedding light on an existing university-wide course, Experts in Teamwork (EiT), where students learn to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams through project work. The chapter presents insights from a study where peer mentors with expertise in entrepreneurship were invited into three pilot EiT courses to support students in reflection. The chapter provides insights on how peer mentoring as a method can support or hinder student reflection, as well as presenting pedagogical and organisational prerequisites for successful peer mentoring, and methods to assess student reflection.
