Self developing dry photopolymer layers for holographic applications

Research output: Contribution to journalConference articlepeer-review

Abstract

This paper is concerned with photopolymerization as a recording process. There are two quite different types of photopolymer. One involves solid layers of plastic doped with suitable chemicals which, under optical irradiation, induce either scission or cross lining of the polymer chains (1) producing a small refractive index change. The other type involves mixing liquid monomer, dye and catalyst together so that the interference pattern causes polymerization.
