    Abstract

There is a stigma surrounding the topic of sex in the Indian society. This has in turn led to a heavy stigma surrounding the topic of sexual assault as well. Most adults from nearly all economic and social classes in India consider educating children about anything sex-related an atrocity, since it is believed that this could lead to a growth in curiosity on the subject for the children, which in turn could lead to experimentation. As a result, most children do not receive formal sex education and are not equipped with the knowledge that would otherwise enable them to identify, avoid, or protect themselves from situations of sexual abuse. There is hence, a dire need to develop an effective educational tool that describes in an age-appropriate and attention-grabbing manner, the different scenarios of sexual abuse that children need to be aware of and in turn learn to avoid.
