    Abstract

This paper critically investigates the preservation of indigenous tribes and their rooted culture which highlights their medicinal knowledge in India mainly focusing on the Bhil, Bhotia and Kurumba Tribes. A survey was conducted for the age group 18 and above to capture the different views on tribal medicinal knowledge and its relevance in the urban setting. The desire for natural home remedy products for small ailments is an untapped market, with unanimous support for increasing awareness of such healthcare products. Consumer interest in products that promote natural treatments, and the welfare of such tribes has shown long-term potential in the market. Trust and availability of such products are a huge scope for improvement. The launch of the Aranyah brand emphasises traditional rituals and natural medicines. Tribal narratives are woven into the brand to bridge the cultural gap. This paper examines three tribal products and highlights their cultural significance. It concludes with a sustainable approach to raising awareness and supporting India’s indigenous tribes. These findings advocate for a comprehensive strategy to preserve and promote indigenous tribal medicinal knowledge in India.
