Abstract
Editor's Note: I met Kelly at a child and youth care conference in Miramichi,
New Brunswick, Canada in May 2004. Kelly provided delegates with a
unique insight into living with FAS. Kelly Mason is a twenty five year old
university student, who has shown tremendous resilience in overcoming
learning challenges. She has fetal alcohol syndrome and has worked very
hard to be successful despite her learning and social challenges. Kelly was
featured on 2IC, a CTV half hour documentary series tackling the issues,
hot topics and lives of teens and young adults across Canada in the 21st
century.
