Abstract
This paper aims to analyse social and cross-cultural skills offered in Ireland’s tourism and hospitality training curricula. It also aims to
explore how these skills are currently being developed, and the future needs for these skills in the educational and industry
landscape. Building on research developed by two European Commission Erasmus+ funded projects, Next Tourism Generation
Alliance, between 2018 and 2022, and Pantour, which started in 2022 (Next Tourism Generation Alliance 2022), this paper also aims to
bridge gaps between knowledge and practice.
