Abstract

An overview is given on a class of small antennas that offer solutions to close proximity detuning, user interactions and beam quality for both linear and circular polorization. A basic topology of a dielectric loaded twisted loop antenna designed to minimize the fields that are incident on the user's head is introduced. Further, three of the variants of this topology for GPS, Bluetooth and dual band GSM/UMTS are described.
