Abstract
A simple and disposable optical fiber microphone technology is proposed. Low cost alumni foil is used as an elastic reflective membrane and two multimode fibers are employed as sensing fibers for the transmission and reception of sensing light. Experiments are carried on to test the performance of optical fiber microphone and the results show that it can be used to detect sound signals within the frequency response range up to 20 KHz.
