Abstract

The paper proposes the use of a switchless reconfigurable antenna for a compact and low-cost directional modulation system. These systems are known to provide enhanced privacy of wireless systems, however the necessity for large antenna arrays prevents their implementation in small wireless sensors. The proposed work aims to bridge this application gap by demonstrating the use of a simple directional modulation scheme with a newly developed compact, switchless reconfigurable antenna.
