Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and more specifically Machine Learning (ML) have become ubiquitous in students' digital lives in Ireland. There is a need for upper second-level computer science students to become knowledgeable about the operation and consequences of AI/ML for themselves and society, as currently, this human-centered viewpoint is lacking. The goal of this work is to develop a pedagogy to support students not just to have a technical view of ML, but how to use, build, and evaluate through a human-centered lens.
