Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic affected global markets parallel to a simultaneous shock derived from the Saudi Arabia and Russia oil price war. As the worldwide health crisis escalated, governments worldwide were forced to take measures that led to economic lockdowns leading to significant economic disruptions. This research paper examines the extent to which the dual shock impacted the GCC economies due to the significant implications for the Gulf region because of its heavy reliance on oil. The core findings show that the Bharain stock market is relatively stable when compared to its GCC counterparts.
