Abstract
The contemporary world is undergoing profound socio-economic and environmental transformations that necessitate a radical re-evaluation of how we learn, teach, innovate and engage with research. Traditional educational models are increasingly insufficient to address the complexity of the twin transition (i.e. green and digital), in which countries need to identify the most effective strategies to advance the digital and green transformations necessary to support sustainable development. Educational systems and frameworks also need to respond to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its three pillars: environment, society, and economy. This research study offers critical insights into the need to build an actionable framework that supports the development of innovative learning spaces and pedagogies within an Immersive Transdisciplinary Learning framework better attuned to the realities of contemporary society. We propose an innovative approach that integrates immersive technologies, transdisciplinary collaboration, and real-world applications to reshape knowledge exchange processes as the learning loop continues to evolve through the lens of Circular Pedagogy.
