Abstract
A fluorinated form of polyaniline was prepared by the electrochemical oxidation of 2, 3, 5, 6-tetrafluoroaniline at a platinum electrode in aqueous HCl. It was found that the layer had a teflon-like appearance and showed no dramatic change in colour on switching from the oxidised to reduced form.
