Abstract

Proceedings of the Institute of Material Finishing - Irish Branch seminar held in Seagate Technology Derry/Londonderry in September 2013. 6 papers from key users and researchers of surfaces at the nanoscale with emphasis on highlighting recent developments in a range of novel surface modification and process control technologies, used in the manufacture of precision components. Key note speaker was Prof Martyn Pemble from Tyndell, Cork on Atomic Layer Deposition, Prof Pemble was also awarded the inaugural Irish Branch gold medal for his work in material finishing research.
