Abstract

This chapter explores the critical issue of out-of-school children (OOSC) in Pakistan, focusing on remote and marginalized communities where access to reliable internet and educational infrastructure is severely limited. Socioeconomic inequalities, cultural barriers, and logistical challenges further exacerbate the problem, leaving millions without formal education. To address these challenges, the chapter advo-cates for innovative approaches, including open-source educational technologies like Moodle and H5P, which enable the delivery of interactive, engaging, and offline-accessible learning content. Additionally, geo-spatial technologies, such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), are highlighted as transformative tools for identifying underserved regions, optimizing resource allocation, and improving school access. By integrating these technologies, it becomes possible to deliver high-quality, scalable, and contextually relevant education while addressing spatial disparities that hinder equitable learning opportunities.
