Abstract
This composition was composed and commisioned by Sasha Savoloni for his ‘Schubert project’ part of his research at Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. This commission led me to discover a beautiful lied by Franz Schubert, An Den Mond d296, a piece of rare intensity and a unique poetic force. Some melodic and harmonic cells of Schubert's lied were the starting point for the creation of a piece.
