Abstract

In this paper, a wideband semi-planar miniaturized antenna is tested in different configurations in the framework of breast imaging. This recently proposed monopole antenna structure has been shown to be considerably compact and to possess stable radiation properties for different ground plane layouts. Features of compactness and stability together with wide impedance matching bandwidth make this antenna suitable for biomedical imaging techniques based on UWB pulses.
