N2 - Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is highly prevalent among children in India, characterised by heightened sensitivity to sensory stimuli, which affects response to environmental elements. Consequently, their home environments play a pivotal role in shaping their behaviour and fostering social interactions. The innovative approach of integrating multisensory rooms looks to enhance functionality and establish a soothing atmosphere. This research delves into the development of a framework of design guidelines for implementing personalised multisensory environments within the residences of children with ASD. By scrutinising existing protocols, conducting interviews, and deploying surveys, the study provides an insightful solution in the form of a mobile application that can significantly contribute to the creation of smart home environments conducive to the well-being and social engagement of children with ASD.
