Description
STEM: Try Five + is a series of workshops centered on Space Science and Exploration, designed in accordance with the Irish Primary School Curriculum. It aims to inspire and sustain interest in science among primary school pupils in DEIS schools.
The goals of STEM: Try Five + include:
- Enhancing children's understanding and enjoyment of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) topics covered in the workshops
- Increasing awareness of future study and career opportunities in STEM fields
- Improving understanding of basic scientific methods
- Fostering belief in the relevance of STEM subjects in everyday life
- Boosting children's confidence in their ability to succeed in STEM
- Reducing stereotypes traditionally associated with STEM, promoting accessibility and equality for all students
