Project Details
Description
The objectives of TechMate are to design and develop a toolkit of best practices for recruiting and retaining female students in technology-focused higher education programs. This toolkit will be distributed to higher education institutions (HEIs) nationally through the Ingenics network for implementation at the discipline level.
TechMate facilitates progress towards gender equality in technology disciplines within HEIs, increasing the number of females advancing into research positions in both academia and industry. The project focuses on boosting the number of female students in technology degrees and supporting their retention from undergraduate to postgraduate studies.
