Project Details
Description
This project examined the efficacy of leadership development programs and their impact on women's pursuit of senior academic roles in higher education institutions (HEIs). It evaluated:
- Whether female-only versus mixed-gender leadership programs provided a demonstrable benefit to women aiming for leadership roles in HEIs
- The differing effectiveness between female-only leadership programs and general leadership development programs for women academics
- Recommendations for designing leadership development programs to be more inclusive of women and other groups at all levels within higher education
The findings pointed to specific actions that HEIs could take to evaluate and redesign their training programs, focusing on inclusivity, efficacy, and institutional value.
