Project Details
Description
The Hands on SCHAFE project aimed to enhance the independent living, health, and well-being of the aging population in Europe. The project sought to align information and communication technology (ICT) with the construction and housing sectors to develop smart, healthy, age-friendly environments through co-creation with end-users.
To empower the target group to deliver, support, and advise at an individual or local level, and to promote sustainable implementation of these environments in their communities, the project developed:
- Informal online training packages
- Interactive sessions and hands-on tools
- Web-based supporting apps
- Training handbooks for continuing education in technology, health, care, welfare, and age-friendly social and physical environments.
