Global Entrepreneurial Talent Management 4

    Project Details

    Description

We are a community of educators and researchers collaborating with students, graduates, and employers, including businesses, NGOs, and social enterprises. Our aim is to explore how universities can better align the expectations of employers with those of new employees by leveraging the entrepreneurial talents of graduates worldwide.

Currently, we are expanding this work by building a wider network and securing additional funding. Our focus is on academia's role in fostering creative confidence and entrepreneurial agency for responsible and respectful innovation. Key areas include health and wellbeing, social innovation, environmental sustainability, and digital resilience, which refers to the ability to recover from disruptions.

Recognizing changes since our previous project, GETM3, we are considering the impact of the shift towards digitally-mediated work, study, and collaboration. Besides technological advances, other significant trends affect skill demand, such as:

    - Globalization: Increased integration of global markets

    - Environmental sustainability: Emergence of 'green jobs'

    - Urbanization: Attraction of high-value, knowledge-intensive industries

    - Geopolitical uncertainties

    - Increasing wealth and income inequality

    - Demographic changes: Ageing and shrinking populations

These elements are shaping the future of work and necessitate a reevaluation of educational and training practices (Hogarth, 2019).
