Epistemology in Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics (MSCA)

Project Details

Description

EpiTEAM is an innovative program providing research and training in Art, Philosophy of Technology, Digital Studies, Science and Technology Studies (STS), fundamental physics, and Neuroscience. It aims to develop transdisciplinary technologist researchers who explore the impacts of digital technologies on knowledge construction.

Traditional epistemological frameworks are being challenged by global computational models. As argued by Stiegler and Fitzpatrick (2020), reasoning has diminished to mere calculation and probability. NooDiversity is exploring and challenging this dominant perspective.

EpiTEAM is premised on developing diverse forms of thought, care, and belief through NooDiversity. This approach advocates for technologies based on diverse reasoning modes, challenging current computational models amid the climate and reasoning crises.

The program addresses the flattening of reason, language, and dialogue through optimization and monetary value extraction. It emphasizes the need for transdisciplinary research to tackle the economic and ecological effects of the global technological crisis and its impact on knowledge construction.
