Project Details
Description
The project established a suite of equipment at TU Dublin to enable coatings product prototyping. By leveraging expertise in product design, optical systems design, coatings, and materials, the facility provided access to advanced laser cutting, 3D printing, material deposition, and a surface profiler.
This setup supported the design and construction of a wide range of prototype devices and materials based on novel coatings technologies. The facility was located at TU Dublin East Quad to benefit from local product design expertise and facilities, as well as at CREST and IEO, where coatings were applied, optically patterned, and tested.
