Project Details

Description

The project enhanced the cell culture process through the introduction of an Inverted Fluorescent Microscope, which improved image quality and ease of use. This equipment delivered stable performance and increased efficiency in tasks such as live cell observation, cell sampling and handling, image capture, and fluorescence observation.

The microscope operated in four configurations:

1. **Brightfield** for observing stained samples

2. **Phase contrast entry** for observing live cells

3. **Phase contrast standard** for viewing detailed cellular structures

4. **Fluorescence** for identifying multiple target molecules simultaneously

It was designed to fit perfectly in a clean bench environment for sterile cell handling, as well as in a busy materials characterization lab for analyzing cell culture on coated materials.

Additionally, a Cell Counter unit was included to accelerate the cell culture process and offer smooth operation. New software developments provided three-dimensional and large-area imaging capabilities, capturing high-quality images.
