Project Details
Description
ARISE developed a European-wide recognition scheme for digital, energy-efficient Building Information Modeling (BIM) construction skills. This scheme was linked to a maturity-based digital ranking system for accounting Continuing Professional Development (CPD) learning transactions. The open competency-based qualification incorporated maturity levels to facilitate micro-learning and ensure learning transactions were meaningful.
The project team gathered BIM modules, tools, and materials to establish a BIM resource and skills recognition pathway. This pathway allowed all stakeholders to utilize, deliver, and enhance learning opportunities. It provided BIM Energy Performance (BIM-EP) partners and other stakeholders with an e-learning materials repository, contributing to the creation of a CPD recognition pathway accessible to the entire supply chain.
ARISE revolutionized the learning process by monetizing skills and learning exchanges through a skills recognition system. The acquisition of competence was rewarded with CERTcoin, an innovative currency embracing the digital transformation benefits in the construction sector. These skills and time credits were stored in an Individual Learning Account and could be accumulated as digital points in a skills barometer or exchanged for valid certificates. This approach offered a more accessible, less time-consuming, and competitive way to upskill both blue and white-collar workers.
ARISE complemented and integrated with existing projects and initiatives, aiming to increase sustainable energy skills across the construction sector's entire supply chain. The project assisted BIM-EP in improving synergies and driving workforce demand for diversified skills recognition and certification.
