Description

The ARC Hub for ICT is a national research centre, hosted in TU Dublin, which focuses on regional innovation and entrepreneurial training in the area of ICT and AI. Its aims are to accelerate the transformation of novel ICT and AI research into commercial solutions that positively impact the way we live and work and to develop entrepreneurial scientists and engineers with the skills to realise commercial opportunities from research activities.

The ARC Hub for ICT, led by TU Dublin, is a partnership of 11 national institutions. Through targeted funding it supports ICT researchers who have identified novel, high quality research opportunities that can be accelerated towards rapid commercial impact. The ARC Hub for ICT delivers strategic support to its funded researchers in three ways. A comprehensive entrepreneurship training and networking programme provides pre-Hub and through-Hub supports for ICT researchers. Technical and project management development supports are provided through prototype development, project management, and guidance on operationalising systems. Lastly commercialisation supports to identify and progress opportunities for licencing, investment, and follow-on funding are provided.

The ARC Hub in ICT is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the ERDF Southern, Eastern and Midland Regional Development 2021-2027.
