Personal profile

Dr. Nanda Kishore, hailing from Proddatur, received his bachelor’s degree from Silver Jubilee Government College, Kurnool and master’s degree in general chemistry from University of Hyderabad. Fascinated by the chemistry of porphyrinoids, he joined Prof. Pradeepta K Panda’s research group to obtain his PhD degree in 2019. He explored the synthetic, photophysical and crystallographic aspects of bronzaphyrins and helped in filing a patent describing their application as shortwave infrared dyes. After working as research associate for two more years with Prof. Panda, he moved to work under Dr. Byeong-Seon Kim of Gyeongsang National University, South Korea as research associate. Currently he is working with Dr. Mikhail Filatov of Technological University Dublin, Ireland, in the area of functional dyes with programmed optical properties. His research interests include multifaceted organic synthesis of functional dyes such as BODIPYs, porphyrins as imaging or theranostic agents and as dyes for solar cells.
