EDUCATION: B.Sc. in Property Economics from TUD (1990); Masters in Urban & Building Conservation from UCD (1997); PhD on Financing the Conservation of the Architectural Heritage from Northumbria University (2005).
ACADEMIC PRACTICE: (i) Lecturer: School of Real Estate and Construction Economics at Technological University Dublin (1992 to date) - Lecture, supervise and assess research at undergraduate and post-graduate level.
(ii) Researcher: Engage in independent and collaborative research activities including assessing Government and EC research projects and peer reviewing journal papers.
RESEARCH INTERESTS: Real estate investment and development appraisal; Conservation economics & circular economy; Integrated area based heritage funding tools; Partnership strategies; Heritage policy and legislation; Heritage trusts and foundations; Adaptive reuse of cultural heritage; Climate impacts on heritage; Historic urban landscape studies; Urban morphology; Sense of place.
