Professional Information
Dr. Róisín Vize is a marketing academic whose research spans the intersection of digital transformation, sustainability, and platform-based ecosystems, with a keen interest on how emerging technologies reshape consumer and business behavior. Róisín’s work is characterized by a multidisciplinary approach that integrates insights from marketing, technology, and sustainability to address contemporary challenges in both B2B and B2C contexts. The transformative impact of digital technologies on marketing practices and consumer engagement is an area of interest for PhD and MPhil research projects and how virtual environments can foster sustainable consumer behavior and support circular economy principles.
Róisín’s research and teaching portfolio reflects a deep engagement with the digitalization of marketing, the sustainability agenda, and the strategic management of platforms and technologies. Modules include marketing principles, social media marketing, sustainability principles, omni-channel campaign management and marketing strategy. Róisín collaborated with the award winning Sage resource HUBRO Education, which resulted in a new simulation offering Sustainable Marketing Simulation. This was a key output from her time with the Dublin's Enterprise Academy Fellowship programme in 2024.
Róisín's research has been presented at high profile international conferences including the Academy of Marketing Science, Academy of Marketing Association, and the European Marketing Association Conference. She has published in top tier ABS ranked business journals including Industrial Marketing Management and the European Journal of Marketing. She has published book chapters and case studies for leading academic text books. She has been invited to present her work at international universities including the Gabelli Business School in Fordham University (NY), the University of London Business School and Prague University of Economics and Business.
