My background in music is that I trained as a concert pianist in the Juilliard School for the Performing Arts in New York and completed post graduate studies at Levels 9 and 10 at Indiana University in Bloomington. I spent 19 years performing and
lecturing in the United States before returning to Ireland where I became Head of the TU Dublin Conservatoire in January 2016 and then Dean of the Faculty of Arts & Humanities in September 2021. Over the last decade I have been involved with EU project/institution/programme evaluation work and I am currently a board member of MusiQuE, the European Quality Assurance and Enhancement agency and the board of EQ-Arts
