Awarded a DIT Arnold Graves postdoctoral fellowship in 2005 to conduct research until 2008 in the RESC and received a scholar in Training (SIT) award with the Radiation Research Society in Sept 2008 for part of this work. Recipient of several early career researcher awards during postgraduate and postdoctoral research. Moved to an academic post as assistant Lecturer of cell biology/biology in 2009, progressed to Lecturer grade in 2013 and then senior Lecturer grade 1 (SL1) in 2016 with the School of Biological and Health Sciences in Dublin Institute of Technology. Later awarded an honorary professorship in 2017 by DIT. Currently working in the School of Biological, Health and Sports Sciences in TUDublin as a senior lecturer and researcher, with her own research group.
