Dr. Nouman Ashraf holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and is an Assistant Lecturer in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at TU Dublin, Ireland. His research centres on the application of advanced control theory to emerging intelligent systems, with a unifying focus on resilient and sustainable cyber-physical infrastructures. Under this umbrella, his work spans 6G and beyond wireless networks, smart grids, electric vehicles, coupled power and communication networks and AI-enabled intelligent systems. He has contributed to major European and national research initiatives including the Horizon 2020 RESPONSE project, the EU-funded TIGON project at Turku University of Applied Sciences in Finland, the FET-OPEN VISORSURF project, and the SFI VistaMilk Research Centre. He has also held academic and research roles at the University of Cyprus, SETU, and the University of Turku, strengthening his international research collaborations. His work integrates rigorous control design with practical deployment in next-generation energy and communication infrastructures, while actively supervising postgraduate researchers and contributing to competitive research funding initiatives.
