Professional Information

Maria Chiara Leva is a Senior Lecturer in Health and Safety in Technological University Dublin and the Lead of the Human Factors for Safety and Sustainability Research Centre. She is also a visiting research Fellow in the Centre for Innovative Human Systems in Trinity College Dublin. Her area of Expertise is Safety Management Systems and Human factors. Chiara holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering conferred by the Polytechnic of Milano Department of Industrial Engineering. Her PhD focused on Human and Organizational factors in Safety Critical System in Transport Sector. She is the co-chair of the tecnicla committee on human factors for the ueropena Safety and Reliability Association (ESRA), and former chair of The Irish Humn Factors Ergonomics Society and has been working in Ergonomics and Risk Assessment as a consultant since 2008.
