Professional Information

Dr Lubna Ahmed is an Assistant Lecturer in Food Science, Sensory and Product Development in the Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin). Lubna completed her PhD in Food Science in the School of Food Science and environmental Health in 2013 on extension of shelf-life and nutritional quality of fruits and vegetables. Lubna completed her Bachelor's degree from Dhaka University, Bangladesh in 2002 and MSc degree in Biotechnology from Leibniz University of Hannover, Germany in 2004. She has worked as a post-doctoral researcher in an EU funded project where she was involved in conducting research activities, managing the project including budget management, liaising with industry and other academic collaborative partners. She has then worked as an assistant Lecturer (HPAL) in New Product development in TU Dublin since 2015. She is a PI of the Food Innovation lab that supports Irish and EU Food & Drink Industry Research & Development.
