Professional Information

John Cassidy has been Assistant Head of School in the School of Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Sciences in DIT, now the Technological University of Dublin for over 20 years. His research interests include electroanalytical chemistry, analytical chemistry, instrumentation and sensing devices. These interests involve the theory and operation of modern analytical instruments in the area of spectroscopy, electrochemistry and nanoparticulate based sensing devices. He has supervised/co supervised 18 PhD students and 3 MSc students successfully to completion. He has examined 9 PhD students as an external examiner and 13 PhD students as internal examiner. He has over 80 peer reviewed publications in the areas of electrochemistry and sensors.
