Professional Information

Head of Electronic Engineering at the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Technological University Dublin. Employed in the areas of Communications Engineering and High-Speed Digital Design before joining the Institute of Technology Tallaght which later became part of TU Dublin. Worked on research projects involving Wireless Communications, FPGA design and Sensor technology. Established the Microelectronics Centre and the Radio Frequency Lab on the Tallaght Campus of TU Dublin. Currently lecture in the area of Semiconductor Device Physics and Nanotechnology. Recent research has included the investigation of surface texturing of crystalline silicon wafers targeting enhanced light trapping for solar cells.
