Associate Professor of Finance and Credit, Ph.D in Business Economics, Master in Business Economics , Doctor of Economic Sciences
Dr. Mazur has more than 20 years of academic and research experience, combined with leadership in university governance and public sector policy. She has served as Head of Department and Deputy Vice-Rector for Research at King Danylo University, Professor of Finance at the National Transport University, and currently contributes to teaching and research at TU Dublin.
She have been involved in the development of teaching materials and the delivery of a variety of modules for students enrolled in different programs. These included: Law and the Regulatory Environment (for students of the Digital Marketing program), Principles of Business and Corporate Finance (for Accounting, Economics and Finance students), as well as European Studies, Sustainable Business Practices, Economics, Financial Management 1, Financial Management 2, and Financial Accounting (for students in General Business, International Business, Business and Computer Technologies, and Sports Management programs).
Dr. Iryna Mazur contributed to programme reviews, accreditation processes, and curriculum development, including co-designing new modules. She also built links between academia and practice, coordinating TU Dublin students’ participation in international research projects, such as a collaboration with Logistics Plus Inc. on the state of machine learning.
She is co-author of textbooks in Financial Management in a Bank (2016), The Banking System (2017), Anti-Crisis Enterprise Management (2017), Money and Credit (2013), Enterprise Financial Recovery Management (2006), Enterprise Economics (2004), etc.
Dr. Iryna Mazur provided external review of the educational and professional program "Public Management and Administration" of the first educational level in the specialty 281 "Public Management and Administration" (Department of Smart Economics at the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine). As an expert, she engaged in doctoral degree examination, recently at the Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (Georgia), Kyiv National University of Technology and Design (Ukraine), Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, King Danylo University, etc. In addition, she is a referee in peer-reviewed journal “University Scientific Notes” of Khmelnytsky University of Management and Law (Ukraine).
Prior to her academic career in Ireland, Dr. Mazur held research roles in Ukrainian universities, serving as a Junior Research Fellow in The Research Institute of Oil and Gas Technologies on specified budget program of research “The creation of hydrodynamic and technological bases of current and total extraction of oil, gas and hydrocarbon condensate from deposits of Ukraine” (state registration number No 0101U001664 SRW); as a Research Fellow in The Research Institute of Oil and Gas Technologies ( 2004-2006) on a specified research budget program “Investigation of new technologies to improve the efficiency of hydrocarbons, including low-grade wells” (state registration number No 0101U001664 SRW); as a Senior Researcher (2009-2010) on a specific program “Development of methodological recommendations for accounting and cost analysis in the oil and gas industry in order to form prices and tariffs” (state registration number No 0109U000645 SRW) in the Research Institute of Oil and Gas Energy and Ecology of Ivano-Frankivsk National University of Oil and Gas; as the pricipal investigator (2010-2014) of the scientific research work "Organizational and economic foundations for the use and development of the region’s resource potential" (state registration number No 0111U006672).
Dr. Iryna Mazur's research interests span macroeconomics, economic security, energy economics, sustainable development, and public finance, with a focus on the resilience of national economies, fiscal governance, and the transition towards low-carbon growth models. She explores how macroeconomic stability is shaped by energy security, innovation, and sustainable finance, linking academic research to policy and practice at both national and international levels.
She is the author of more than 180 publications, including peer-reviewed articles, monographs, and textbooks, and she actively collaborates with international partners through COST Association research networks and EU-level projects. Dr. Iryna Mazur published 2 individual monographs, 5 jointly authored books, over 90 journal articles, 9 book chapters; and co-edited 1 book.
Her recent work has explored themes such as the sustainable transition of Irish airline companies, employee-driven branding for sustainability, and enterprise strategy under conditions of economic insecurity. These studies contribute to ongoing debates on macroeconomic stability, policy design, and the long-term sustainability of growth models in Europe and beyond.
Dr. Mazur has supervised over 50 master’s theses, two doctoral students, and acted as an external examiner at universities in Georgia and Ukraine. She integrates her research into teaching and is committed to creating inclusive, research-led learning and game-based learning environments that connect economic theory to real-world challenges.
