Professional Information

Dr. Furong Tian received a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, a master in Biochemistry, and Ph.D. degrees in Chemistry from Stuttgart University and Max-Planck Institute for Metal Research in 2006. She was a visiting Research Scientist in Radiation department, in Kyoto University and National Institute for materials Science in Japan. She was a postdoc researcher in the Institute of Inhalation Biology, Helmholtz Zentrum München, supported by a Helmholtz-DAAD scholarship, ANTICARBON Seventh Framework Programme and NANOTRUCK. In 2013, she worked as Marie curie senior research fellow at Nano lab in FOCAS. In 2018, She was pointed a lecturer in School of Food Science and Environmental Health. She has sucessfully supervised six PhD students and one Marie Curie Post doc. Currently, she is a lead supervisor for six PhD students.  She is a director  in Nanolab Research Centre at Physical to Life Science Research Hub, TU Dublin.
