Eoin Kerin is a Clinical Trial Coordinator and PhD researcher at the Centre for Eye Research Ireland (CERI), Technological University Dublin. His research focuses on childhood eye health, with particular emphasis on myopia, refractive development, and the role of lifestyle and environmental factors such as physical activity, outdoor exposure, and digital device use.

He is involved in the design, coordination, and delivery of paediatric ophthalmic clinical trials and observational studies, contributing to protocol development, data quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. His PhD research integrates epidemiology, ocular biometry, and stakeholder perspectives to better understand modifiable risk factors for myopia and inform prevention strategies.

Eoin has presented his work at national and international conferences and is actively involved in research dissemination and public engagement related to children’s vision and eye health. His broader interests include research integrity, reproducibility, and the translation of evidence into clinical and public health practice.
