Research interests

I founded the National Centre for Franco-Irish Studies in 2003 and since that time, I have organised conferences under the aegis of that centre. I also am General editor of two prestigious academic book series with Peter Lang (Oxford); Reimaging Ireland and Studies in Franco-Irish Studies. I have published 25 monographs, edited and co-edited books, and hundreds of journal and newspaper articles, and am an Officier dans l'Ordre des Palmes Académiques, an award given to me by the French Embassy to acknowledge my research in fostering Franco-Irish Relations.
