Personal profile

Colette Molloy is an Accounting & Finance Lecturer and Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) with over 23 years’ experience across asset management, investment banking and Big 4 accounting, now focused on bringing real-world financial practice into higher education.

Colette began her career training in audit before moving into financial reporting, fund accounting, governance and risk oversight roles, working with senior leadership and regulators to support transparent reporting and effective decision-making. Colette also led and mentored teams and delivered change initiatives — experience that now informs her approach to professional judgement and workplace practice in teaching. Her teaching helps students move beyond theory to understand how accounting and finance operate in real organisations.

Using industry-based case learning, Colette develops analytical thinking, ethical awareness and career readiness by embedding workplace expectations — communication, decision-making, collaboration and accountability — into learning.

Colette welcomes connections with educators, professional bodies and industry practitioners interested in collaboration, guest lectures and strengthening links between universities and the financial services sector.
