Professional Information
Dr Charlie Cullen is Head of the School of Mechanical Engineering in the Technological University of Dublin (TU Dublin), where he aims to combine lecturing and research within the largest multi-campus School in the institution. He is currently working on 'An Introduction to Audio Synthesis and MIDI Control' for Routledge, where he is also editor for the forthcoming series 'Embedded Interaction Systems'.
Dr. Cullen has successfully completed many research projects, and has published widely in machine learning for perceptual audio codecs, automated character animation, multimodal interfaces for location based services, data sonification, speech corpora design, emotional speech analysis and interactive online data visualisation.
