Professional Information
Brian J. Murphy is a senior Lecturer in the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management at the Technological University Dublin. He has broad gastronomic research interests and is currently focused on the role that place, story and heritage play in food and drink product engagement. A co-founder of the Dublin Gastronomy Symposium, he is keen to develop multidisciplinary links across a range of disparate research areas. Brian has published and presented widely on various food and drink topics. His monograph Beyond Sustenance: An Exploration of Food and Drink Culture in Ireland was published by Peter Lang in 2023.
