Research Interests

My research interests center around the areas of software and performance engineering, privacy engineering, complex and distributed systems, cybersecurity, and data analytics.

My research has mainly focused on optimizing the performance of enterprise software systems and the effectiveness of software development teams, with a special emphasis on performance testing and the development of realistic test environments. Recently, I have also gotten involved in secure software development, with a special focus on privacy preserving and cybersecurity. So far, my work has produced:

  • 4 USPTO patents
  • 30+ publications in international peer-reviewed venues
  • Over €200K of funding as principal investigator

I also have 5+ years of experience managing research collaborations between industry and academia, as well as preparing research proposals and progress reports for European and Irish funding schemes. This includes contributing to successful grants such as:

Personal profile

I am an experienced IT practitioner currently working as a Lecturer in Computing at the Technological University Dublin (TUD) in the School of Enterprise Computing and Digital Transformation. Before that, I have been a researcher, software engineering manager, and software engineer in different organizations such as Rapid7, Infosys, and General Electric.
