Participation as a bioengineer in the national outreach programme for primary and secondary schools “I’m an engineer, get me out of here”. The event took place over the month of March, 2017 and involved students asking engineers questions via an online, live forum. Students gained insights into the types of projects engineers work on, details of everyday activities and tools we use. The initiative helped students to relate to engineers from a wide range of backgrounds and with a diverse range of jobs.
