Equipments Details

Description

Measures the mechanical properties of thin films and bulk materials, including their scratch resistance, adhesion strength, and friction. The test involves a diamond indenter tip being drawn across the material's surface while a controlled load is applied. By analyzing the normal and lateral forces, penetration depth, and observing the resulting scratch and surface failure using microscopy, critical loads and failure modes can be identified, providing insights into the material's mechanical behavior
